Ingredients
Directions
  1. Peel, core and slice the apples.
  2. Add the apple slices to a pot.
  3. Add water, cinnamon, lemon and vanilla.
  4. Simmer. And stir. Make sure it doesn't stick to the bottom.
  5. Let cook about 20 minutes, or until apples have broken down entirely.
  6. Taste and add more spices to taste, if you'd like.
  7. Some folks will run it through a food processor for smoothness, but I love the chunks. (And don't have a food processor anyway!)
